PAFCA-DAL represents almost 600 FAA Certificated Aircraft Dispatchers at Delta Air Lines. This professional group of individuals are made up of former ACS employees, Airplane Mechanics, Air Traffic Controllers, Military Veterans, and many more industry professionals.
PAFCA-DAL Dispatchers release on average 4-5 thousand daily flights throughout North America, Europe, Latin America, South America, Asia, Africa, and Australia.
We strive to provide the best product across the entire industry. We take great pride in our responsiblities and our airline.
PAFCA’s Bronson Gentry recently attended the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP) Conference in Chicago, joining aviation professionals from across the industry for an opportunity to connect, learn, and build relationships.
This year’s event was especially significant as OBAP celebrated its 50th anniversary, marking five decades of advancing opportunity, representation, and excellence within the aerospace community. The milestone added a meaningful layer to the conference, honoring the organization’s legacy while highlighting its continued impact on the future of aviation.
One of the highlights of the conference was the opportunity to connect with members of the Tuskegee Airmen community, whose legacy of courage, professionalism, and perseverance continues to inspire generations throughout aviation. The conference provided a unique setting to celebrate that history while also looking toward the future of the profession.
Bronson also had the chance to meet and speak with aspiring aircraft dispatchers who are approaching age 23 and have already earned their FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificates. These conversations provided an opportunity to discuss the dispatcher profession, share insight into the industry, and encourage the next generation of certificated dispatchers as they prepare to begin their careers.
Events like the OBAP Conference are an important opportunity to strengthen relationships across the aviation community while introducing future professionals to the vital role aircraft dispatchers play in the safe and successful operation of our airlines.
Overall, the Chicago conference was a great experience and an excellent opportunity for Bronson to represent PAFCA, make meaningful connections, and engage with both the history and the future of aviation.

Building Connections at the 2026 OBAP Conference
In memory of Kevin Thompson
Kevin dedicated more than 40 years of service to Delta Air Lines, beginning his career in Boston in 1977. Throughout his career, he served in a variety of operational leadership roles before transferring to Flight Control in 1989.
Kevin served as PAFCA Vice President before being elected President, a position he held for 16 years. He was a tireless advocate for our profession and a respected leader throughout the aviation industry. His vision and leadership helped shape many of the contractual benefits we enjoy today, including securing the "me too" clause, which has provided significant value to our membership over the years. His knowledge and expertise were widely recognized, and he was frequently called upon by organizations such as ADF and IFALDA for his insight and leadership.
Kevin's contributions to Delta, Flight Control, PAFCA, and the broader dispatcher community have left an enduring legacy that continues to benefit our profession today.
